MissionTwo puffies because down fails wet. Down for dry cold and as belay layer when stationary. Synthetic for wet conditions or when sweat will soak the layer. Fleece mid for active warmth. Glove system is liner → midweight → heavyweight mitt — three modes for different conditions and hand-state.
